Keppra (Levetiracetam) is an anti-epileptic medication that is used in combination with other anti-seizure medications to treat children who have certain types of epilepsy and have seizures. It is also used to treat tonic-clonic seizures in people over 6 years old and myoclonic seizures in people over 12 years old. Levetiracetam belongs to a class of drugs known as anticonvulsants. It works by affecting the transmission of nerve signals in the brain.
