Muro 128 Ophthalmic (Sodium Chloride) is used to reduce swelling of the surface of the eye (cornea) due to certain eye conditions. The hypertonic sodium chloride eye ointment and eye drops are used to draw water out of a swollen cornea. The extra water in the cornea can cause poor vision. You may also see halos or rings around point light sources. This medication works by drawing fluid out of the cornea to reduce swelling. Decreasing the swelling of the cornea may lessen eye discomfort or irritation caused by the swelling. Muro 128 ointment can be applied every three to four hours or as directed by a doctor.
Muro 128 Side effects
Taking Muro 128 Ophthalmic may cause some common side effects such as eye discomfort, burning, redness, or temporary blurred vision. In addition, taking Muro 128 Ophthalmic may cause some serious side effects such as eye pain, vision changes. Do not take this medication if you are allergic. If you experience any of the following symptoms allergic reaction: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing contact your doctor immediately.
Muro 128 Precautions
Do not take this medication if you are allergic. Contact your doctor if you have a medical history of eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if your symptoms continue more than 3 days or become worse. Your vision may become temporarily blurred after you apply this product. Do not drive, use machinery or do any activity that requires a clear vision until you are sure you can perform such activities safely. Muro 128 is safe to use during pregnancy. Talk to your doctor before breast-feeding.
