Panectyl (Trimeprazine) is a prescription medicine used to reduce itching (pruritus) from allergies, hives, eczema, and other causes such as insect bites, chickenpox, and reactions to certain drugs. The active ingredient in the Panectyl tablet is Trimeprazine. Trimeprazine belongs to the group of medicine called an antihistamine.
