Abilify Maintena ( Aripiprazole) is an extended-release prescription injection used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in adults. It is a long-acting Aripiprazole formulation with a 4 week dosing intervals. Aripiprazole belongs to the group of medications known as atypical antipsychotics. It works by acting on various receptors in the brain, particularly dopamine receptors and serotonin (5HT) receptors. This medication will help you to think clearly, feel less nervous, and live a normal life. Abilify Maintena is administered under a doctor’s supervision via intramuscular injection.
