Cardizem CD (Diltiazem CD) is used for the treatment of high blood pressure and to prevent chest pain. Diltiazem CD belongs to the class of mediations called calcium-channel blockers. This will lower your blood pressure, which will help prevent strokes, heart attacks and kidney problems. Cardizem CD is taken with or without food usually once daily or as directed by your doctor.

The common side effects of Cardizem CD may include constipation, dizziness, flushing, headache, lightheadedness, nausea and weakness.
