Sibelium Details (Brand and Generic)

CanadaPharmacyOnline.com currently offers the brand Sibelium from India manufactured by Janssen-Cilag and Johnson & Johnson. The generic Flunarizine is available from India also called Migranex by Intas and Migarid by Cipla.

Dosage

Sibelium and the generic Flunarizine is available in the strength of 5 mg and 10 mg tablets. The typical dosing for migraine prophylaxis is 5 to 10 mg once daily.

Usage

Sibelium (Flunarizine) is a prescription medication that is used off-label to help with migraine headaches with or without aura. Flunarizine is a calcium channel blocker. It helps to reduce the frequency of migraine attacks and may help lessen the severity of an attack. Flunarizine is not used to treat a sudden migraine attack.

Side Effects

Stop using the medication and get medical care if you have an allergic reaction. Signs of an allergic reaction may include difficulty breathing, hives (rash on your body), swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat—If you experience any of these symptoms, please call 911 or seek emergency medical care at the nearest emergency room (ER).

The common side effects of Sibelium may include drowsiness, blurred vision, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, and weight gain. Inform your doctor if these side effects worsen or do not go away.

Stop taking Sibelium and let your doctor know if you experience the following serious side effects: • Gingival hyperplasia (gum tissues grow excessively);
• Tremor;
• Depression;
• Symptoms of drug-induced movement disorders such as parkinsonism, restlessness/muscle twitching, involuntary muscle movement of the mouth and face, and torticollis (problems with the neck muscles causing the head to tilt down).

The above information is a summary and may not contain all the side effect information. If you still have questions about side effects, you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist so they can address all your concerns.
