Usage

Lotensin (Benazepril) is a prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), congestive heart failure, and chronic renal failure. The active ingredient in the Lotensin tablet is Benazepril. Benazepril belongs to the group of medicine called Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI). It works by preventing an enzyme in the body from producing angiotensin II, a substance that narrows blood vessels. This narrowing can cause high blood pressure and forces the heart to work harder.
