Nozinan (Methotrimeprazine) contains the active ingredient Methotrimeprazine which belongs to the class of medications called phenothiazines. Nozinan is used to treat psychotic disturbances, such as acute and chronic schizophrenia, psychosis in the elderly, and manic depressive syndromes. It can also be used in conditions associated with anxiety and tension, as a pain reliever (for certain types of pain), as a sedative, and for nausea and vomiting caused by certain conditions or for the management of insomnia. Nozinan helps to reduce and control psychotic symptoms, tranquilize, induce sleep, and relieve pain. You should remain lying down for at least one hour after your injection, because you may experience a decrease in blood pressure. You may experience side effects if the drug is stopped suddenly. Contact your physician before stopping your drug.
