Ibuprofen (Ibuprofen) is a prescription medication used to relieve pain, tenderness, stiffness, and swelling caused by osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Osteoarthritis is a condition that occurs when the lining of the joints breaks down. Rheumatoid arthritis is caused by swelling in the lining of the joints. Ibuprofen is also used to relieve mild to moderate pain from menstruation, common cold, toothaches, backaches, and headaches. The active ingredient in Ibuprofen is Ibuprofen. Taking this drug with food may help reduce stomach upset. Avoid alcohol when using Ibuprofen. It can increase your risk of stomach bleeding. This medication can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight and heat. Avoid direct exposure to the sun when using this drug. Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing when going out in the sun. Ibuprofen can make you dizzy. Do not drive or perform activities that require alertness until you can safely do them. Store this drug at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
