Norvasc Details (Brand and Generic)

Shop online at CanadaPharmacyOnline.com and order Norvasc and other blood pressure medications at huge savings. We currently offer the brand Norvasc from Turkey manufactured by Pfizer. The generic Norvasc (Amlodipine Besylate) is available from India also called Amlip by Cipla, Canada by Sandoz, and the United Kingdom by a different manufacturer.

Dosage

The brand and the generic Norvasc are both available in the strength of 5 mg and 10 mg tablets. We also carry the generic oral suspension Amlodipine in the strength of 1 mg/ml per one150 ml bottle and 2.5 mg tablets.

Usage

Norvasc (Amlodipine) is used with or without other medications to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). This medication is also used to prevent certain types of chest pain (angina). Amlodipine belongs to the class of drugs known as calcium channel blockers. It works by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily. Lowering blood pressure helps preventing strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems in the long run. This medication may also help to increase your ability to exercise and decrease the frequency of angina (chest pain) attacks. Norvasc should not be used for sudden chest pain. Use medications such as Nitrolingual pump spray to relieve attacks of chest pain as directed by your doctor.

Side Effects

Signs of Norvasc (amlodipine) allergy: difficulty breathing, hives (rash on your body), swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat—If you experience any of these symptoms, please call 911 or seek emergency medical care at the nearest emergency room (ER).

The common side effects of Amlodipine may include dizziness, flushing, lightheadedness and swelling ankles or feet. Inform your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects such as:
• Fainting;
• Fast irregular or pounding heartbeat;
• Intense abdominal pain

Please seek emergency medical care immediately if you experience worsening chest pain or signs and symptoms of a heart attack, such as shortness of breath, excessive sweating, or chest/jaw/left arm pain. The above information is a summary and may not contain all information. If you still have questions about side effects, you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist so they can address all of your concerns.

Warnings and Interactions

Do not take Norvasc tablets if you are allergic to Amlodipine. Before you start using this medication talk to your doctor about your medical history and about all medications you take including prescription drugs, over-the-counter products, and herbal supplements. Inform your doctor if you have a history of aortic stenosis, very low blood pressure, or liver disease. This medication may make you dizzy. Alcohol and marijuana may worsen the dizziness. At the beginning of therapy, you should not drive, use machinery, or do anything that requires you to be alert. Limit alcoholic beverages. Norvasc should only be used during pregnancy only if it's directed by the primary care physician or gynecologist. Amlodipine can pass into breast milk. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. There may be a drug interaction between Amlodipine and other medications such as cough and cold products, diet aids, or NSAIDs such as ibuprofen and naproxen. Refrain from drinking very large amount (over 1.2 litres) of grapefruit juice while taking this medication as it may increase the side effects of this medication; it is acceptable to enjoy grapefruit juice or grapefruit in a small to moderate amount, talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any other questions regarding the interaction between grapefruit and your medications.
