Usage

Estring vaginal ring (Estradiol) is used to help reduce vaginal and urinary symptoms of menopause such as vaginal dryness, burning, itching, painful urination, frequent urges to urinate. Estring vaginal ring belongs to the class of medications called local estrogen replacement therapy. When a woman reaches menopause, the ovaries produce less estrogen and she will experience the symptoms of menopause. Estradiol vaginal ring works by providing local-acting estrogen. One Estring vaginal ring releases estradiol into the vagina in a consistent, stable manner for 90 days. The full effects of this medication may be seen in about 2 to 3 weeks. There may be a drug interaction between Estradiol and other medications such as anastrazole, letrozole, raloxifene, tamoxifen, tranexamic acid, etc. Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while you are using Estring. Do not smoke or use tobacco products while using this medication.
