Colcrys Information

Colcrys (Generic name: Colchicine) is a prescription medication used to treat gout and prevent frequently occurring of acute gout (flares). Gout is a type of arthritis that occurs when uric acid level is too high in the blood that causes pain in the affected joints. Colchicine is also been approved for the treatment of familiar Mediterranean fever (FMF). FMF is an inherited disorder that causes recurring attacks of fever and inflammation. Colchicine Side Effects

The most common Colchicine side effects are abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and weakness.
