Lamisil 1% Information

Drug name: Lamisil 1%
Generic name: Terbinafine Topical
Use: Fungal infections (Athlete’s foot, jock itch, ringworm)

Lamisil 1% is a topical drug. It is an antifungal medication which has been proven to be successful in treating various fungal infections in the body such as athlete’s foot, jock itch, nappy rash and ringworm. The topical drug is applied to the skin, and while it is present, it prevents fungus from growing on the skin’s surface. Terbinafine is the active ingredient, and it works by interfering with the cell membranes of fungi. The cell membrane is vital to the workings of the fungi, so without a fully working membrane the fungi cannot live and reproduce.
