Usage

Menopur (Menotropins) is a prescription medication used to treat certain fertility problems in women and helps women to get pregnant. It provides follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) that help healthy ovaries make eggs. This medication is usually used in combination with human chorionic gonadotropin-hCG to help you become pregnant by bringing about the growth and release of a mature egg (ovulation). The active substance in Menopur is Menotropins. Menotropins belong to the class of medication called Gonadotropins (Ovulation Stimulators). It works by causing the production of LH and FSH from the pituitary gland, which then stimulates gonadal function, including spermatogenesis and ovulation.

Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects of Menopur are headache, mild stomach pain or bloating, redness, pain at the injection site, breast tenderness, or dizziness.
