Ferrous Gluconate Information

If it’s time to get your Ferrous Gluconate or any other over-the-counter (OTC) medications, you’ll be happy to know you can order right here at Canada Pharmacy Online. We carry OTC, Ferrous Gluconate, from Canada (also known as iron supplement) in our online store. It’s available in the form of 300mg tablets.

Product Details

Ferrous Gluconate is a type of iron, which is essentially a body mineral that you would ordinarily get through the foods you eat. It becomes part of your blood and carries oxygen to tissues and organs. Ferrous Gluconate is used to treat iron deficiency anemia (low levels of iron).

The common side effects of Ferrous Gluconate includes: constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite, green-colored stools, or temporary staining of the teeth.

The more serious side effects may include:

• Black or tarry stools
• Bright red blood in your stools
• Coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds
• Fever
• Pain in your chest or throat when you swallow the tablet
• Signs of allergic reaction
• Stomach pain

You should not take Ferrous Gluconate if you are allergic to iron or do not wish to consume animal byproducts, have an iron overload disorder, or hemolytic anemia. Before you start taking Ferrous Gluconate, talk to your doctor about your medical history and about all the medications you currently take including OTC and herbal medications.

This version of iron can be taken while pregnant or nursing, but you will need to talk to your doctor about the right dosing. It may change during pregnancy or when breastfeeding from your normal dosage.
