Nozinan Information
Nozinan (Methotrimeprazine) is used to treat symptoms of schizophrenia and other psychotic illnesses. It may also be used to treat bipolar disorder, or conditions associated with anxiety. Nozinan may be used to treat other conditions as well. Methotrimeprazine belongs to the class of medications called phenothiazines. It is used to treat mental and emotional disorders, including schizophrenia, manic-depressive syndromes and other psychotic disorders. It can also be used in conditions associated with anxiety and tension, as a pain reliever (for certain types of pain), as a sedative, and for nausea and vomiting caused by certain conditions.
Nozinan Side Effects
Possible side effects include abnormal movements (extrapyramidal symptoms), changes in monthly menstrual cycle (amenorrhea), decreased sexual interest and/or function, swelling of breasts and milk production in males and females, drowsiness, dry mouth, nausea, headache, weight changes, and or blurred vision.
Nozinan Precautions
Do not take this medication if you are allergic to Methotrimeprazine. Talk to your medical health professional if you have a medical history of dementia.
