Rheumatrex can harm an unborn baby or cause birth defects if either of the parents is using this medication. If you are a woman, do not use Rheumatrex if you are pregnant, and use an effective form of birth control while using this medication. If you are a man, use effective birth control if your sexual partner can become pregnant. Tell your doctor immediately if pregnancy occurs while either the mother or father is using Rheumatrex. You should not breastfeed while using this medication. If you experience any serious side effects or signs of an allergic reaction, seek emergency medical attention.
