Serevent Information:

Serevent (Generic name: Salmeterol) is a prescription medication used to prevent asthma attacks. Serevent is also used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) including emphysema and chronic bronchitis. It works by relaxing the muscles in airways to improve breathing. If an asthma attack occurs, use Serevent inhaler as prescribed.

Serevent Side Effects:

The most common Serevent side effects include diarreha, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, insomnia, nausea, sweating, vomiting, and etc. If you are experiencing any severe side effects such as blurred vision, breathing problems, chest pain, fainting, numbness, signs of infections, weakness, worsening asthma symptoms or signs of a serious allergic reactions (e.g., difficult breathing, itching, rash, swelling), please inform your doctor immediately.

Serevent Precautions:

Do NOT use Serevent inhaler to treat asthma attack that has already begun. Do NOT use Serevent HFA if you are allergic to Salmeterol or any of the ingredients in Serevent medication. Before using Serevent HFA, tell your doctor if you have had any medical conditions such as allergies, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, seizures, and thyroid disorders. Tell your doctor about all the prescriptions or over-the-counter (OTC) medications you use. They may interact with Serevent diskus, especially of: antibiotics, antidepressants, beta-blockers, diuretic, HIV or AIDs drugs, MAO inhibitors, other asthma medications.
