Maxilene (Lidocaine) is an over-the-counter medication used to relieve pain and itching from minor burns, insect bites, scrapes, cuts, and other minor skin irritations. Wool, soaps, and chemicals may cause mild skin irritation. Maxilene is also used to relieve pain and itching from anorectal disorders and hemorrhoids. The active ingredient in Maxilene is Lidocaine. Lidocaine belongs to a class of drugs called local anesthetics. It works by causing temporary numbness or loss of feeling in the skin and mucous membranes.

Manufacturer Information

We currently offer the brand Maxilene from Canada manufactured by RGR Pharma in the strength of 4%/30gm and 5%/30gm cream. The generic Lidocaine is not available.
