The common side effects of Estrogel may include bloating, breast tenderness, headache, nausea or vomiting and weight changes.
Talk to your right away if you have any of the serious side effects such as:
• Breast lumps;
• Dark urine;
• Increased or new vaginal irritation, itching, odor or discharge;
• Increased thirst or urination;
• Mental or mood changes;
• Persistent nausea or vomiting;
• Severe stomach or abdominal pain;
• Unusual vaginal bleeding or spotting;
• Yellowing eyes or skin

You should not use Estrogel if you are allergic to Estradiol or if you have any other allergies. You should not smoke or use tobacco. Estrogens combined with smoking further increases your risk of stroke, blood clots, high blood pressure and heart attack, especially in women older than 35. This medication may cause blotchy, dark areas on your face and skin. Sunlight may make this condition worse. Limit your time in the sun and avoid tanning booths and sunlamps. Estrogel must not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your doctor right away. This medication passes into breast milk. It may reduce the quality and amount of breast milk produced. Talk to your doctor before breast-feeding.
