Toradol Information
Toradol (Ketorolac) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used short-term (5 days or less) to treat moderate to severe pain, in situations such as acute injuries, dental problems, after surgery, or after giving birth. Toradol works by reducing hormones that cause pain and inflammation in the body. Take this medication as directed. Do not use it in larger or smaller amounts, or for longer than prescribed. To make sure Toradol is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have ever had a stomach ulcer, intestinal bleeding, a bleeding or blood-clotting disorder, a closed head injury, kidney disease, asthma, or if you have heart disease or heart risk factors. You should not use this medication during the third trimester of pregnancy or if you are breastfeeding a baby. Talk to your doctor about any risks of using this medication in earlier stages of pregnancy. Tell your doctor about any other medications you are using to reduce the risk of interactions. Toradol is not approved for use in anyone under the age of 2. Avoid drinking alcohol while using this medication. If you experience any serious side effects or signs of an allergic reaction, seek emergency medical attention.
