Metrogel (Metronidazole) Medication Information

Uses

Metrogel is a topical antibiotic that is used to treat rosacea lesions. 

Dosage

The gel is available in 1% strength. 

Side Effects

The most common side effects of Metrogel include:

  • Bronchospasm
  • Sinusitis 
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Back pain
  • Headache
  • Dermatitis
  • Dry skin

Precautions

Metrogel can cause your eyes to water/tear if it makes contact with the eye.
