Dosage

The brand Tecta and its generic Pantoprazole Magnesium are available in the strength of 40 mg tablets only.

Usage

Tecta (Pantoprazole Magnesium) is a prescription medication used to treat conditions where a reduction in stomach acid is needed, such as stomach ulcers, duodenal (intestinal) ulcers, reflux esophagitis (a severe form of heartburn), and symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD; e.g., heartburn and acid regurgitation). The active ingredient in the Tecta tablet is Pantoprazole magnesium. Pantoprazole magnesium belongs to the class of medications called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). Pantoprazole works to reduce the amount of acid the stomach produces by blocking an enzyme (proton pump) that produces acid in the stomach.
