Robaxacet (Methocarbamol/Acetaminophen) is a prescription muscle relaxant used to treat pain associated with muscle spasm such as back pain, tense neck muscles, strains, and sprains. Robaxacet contains methocarbamol and acetaminophen. Methocarbamol belongs to a class of medications called skeletal muscle relaxants. Methocarbamol is presumed to work by depressing the central nervous system, blocking nerve impulses to the brain, which leads to the relaxation of muscles. It also has a sedative effect. Acetaminophen belongs to a class of medications called analgesics, and works by reducing the formation of prostaglandins, which are substances released during an injury that cause pain and inflammation. Take this medication as directed. Do not use it in larger or smaller amounts, or for longer than recommended. Do not take more than 8 caplets in 24 hours.
