Renova (Tretinoin) is a prescription medication that is used for the treatment of fine wrinkles, spotty skin discoloration, and rough feeling skin. It does not get rid of wrinkles or repair sun-damaged skin. Tretinoin belongs to a class of medications called retinoids and is a form of vitamin A that helps the skin renew itself. This medication works by affecting the growth of skin cells. This medication may also be used to treat other skin conditions including acne.

In a study, Review of skin ageing and its medical therapy by BA Gilchrest (British journal of dermatology - 1996). Topical tretinoin has been shown to partially reverse the clinical and histological changes induced by the combination of sunlight exposure and chronological ageing.
