Maxidex is a type of drug that is classified as a corticosteroid, which, by inhibiting the processes in the body that cause inflammation, reduces the swelling and pain of any inflammatory conditions. Maxidex is specifically used to treat eye inflammation that has been caused by infections, injury, surgery, or other conditions.

Sever Side Effects: Serious side effects rarely occur with this medication. Occasionally, an increase in the pressure inside of the eye, formation of cataracts, or a perforation of the cornea has occurred.
Common Side Effects: Common side effects may include burning, stinging, irritation, itching, redness, blurred vision, or sensitivity to light.
