Usage

Edarbi (Azilsartan Medoxomil) is a prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure. Azilsartan belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs). This medication works by relaxing the blood vessels, which improves blood flow and lowers blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure will help prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.

There may be a drug interaction between Edarbi and other medications such as diuretics (water pills), other heart or blood pressure medications, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). You should not take this medication if you are pregnant. You should stop taking this medication immediately and inform your doctor if you become pregnant while on this medication. Do not breast-feed while taking Edarbi. This medication is not approved for use by anyone younger than 18 years old.
