Temovate Information:

Temovate (Clobetasol propionate) is a corticosteroid medication that helps reduce inflammation in the body. Temovate is commonly used to treat psoriasis, eczema, and seborrheic dermatitis, among other skin conditions that respond to steroid medication. Temovate controls inflammation by mimicking naturally occurring corticosteroid hormones produced by our adrenal glands. In addition to reducing inflammation (redness, swelling and itching) in the area that they are applied, topical corticosteroids also suppress the immune response, reduce cell turnover, and constrict (narrow) blood vessels. Temovate can also heal the rough, scaly patches on the skin seen with psoriasis. Before using Temovate, tell your doctor if you have ever had any type of skin infection, a skin reaction to any steroid medication, liver disease, or an adrenal gland disorder. Steroid medications can increase the glucose levels in your blood or urine. Tell your doctor if you have diabetes. Temovate is not approved for use by anyone under the age of 12.
