Remeron (Mirtazapine) is a prescription medication used to treat depression. It improves mood and feelings of well-being. Take this drug at the same time every day, preferably at bedtime. Swallow the Remeron tablet whole with water. You may take this medication with or without food. It may take a few weeks for your symptoms to improve. Do not stop taking the medication without talking to your doctor. Stopping Remeron suddenly may cause withdrawal symptoms. Avoid alcohol while using this drug. Drinking alcohol can increase the side effects of Remeron. Store at room temperature, away from excess heat and moisture.
