Eulexin (Flutamide) is a medication used to treat men with prostate cancer. Eulexin belongs to a class of drugs known as anti-androgens. It works by blocking the effects of testosterone, which stops the growth and spread of prostate cancer.

Seek emergency medical help if you have any signs of an allergic reaction to this medication. The common side effects of Eulexin may include breast swelling and tenderness, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, hot flashes, and loss of sexual interest.

Eulexin can cause serious liver problems. Contact your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur:
• Clay-colored stools, dark urine;
• Flu-like symptoms, itching, tiredness;
• Jaundice;
• Loss of appetite, upper stomach ache, nausea

Do not take Eulexin if you are allergic to Flutamide or if you have severe liver problems. Prior to taking this medication, tell your doctors about your medical history and if you smoke or take a blood thinner or if you have ever had:
• A genetic enzyme deficiency called glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency;
• Hemoglobin M disease;
• Liver disease

Tell your doctor about all the medications you take including prescription, nonprescription, herbal products, and vitamins. There may be a drug interaction between Eulexin and other medications. Flutamide should not be taken by a woman or a child.
