Usage

Innohep (Tinzaparin Sodium) is a prescription medication used to prevent and treat deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism. DVT is when severe blood clots form in the blood vessels in the legs. These blood clots can then travel to the lungs, heart, and brain, blocking blood vessels. This causes pulmonary embolism. Innohelp is also used to treat blood clots in the lungs and to prevent clotting in catheters used by patients on hemodialysis. The drug is also used in patients who have undergone hip, knee, or general surgery to prevent harmful blood clots that may form due to long periods of inactivity. The active substance in Innohep is Tinzaparin Sodium. Tinzaparin Sodium belongs to a class of medication called antithrombotics and anti-coagulants. It works by reducing blood clotting ability to prevent blood clots from forming in the blood vessels.
