Midodrine should only be used in carefully selected patients. This medicine causes a significant increase in blood pressure when lying down on your back. Your blood pressure will be monitored carefully during treatment. Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with this medicine. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. This medicine is a vasoconstrictor used to treat dizziness which occurs when standing or sitting up.

SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include itching or tingling of the skin or scalp. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience difficulty urinating. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience chest pain, slowing pulse, pounding in the ears, headache, blurred vision, or fainting. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
