Usage

Refresh (eye lubricant) is a solution specially formulated to moisten the eyes. Refresh is used for the temporary relief of burning, irritation, and discomfort due to dryness of the eye or exposure to wind or sun. Refresh may be used as a protectant against further irritation. Refresh is used to lubricate and rewet soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses. It is also indicated to relieve the dryness, irritation, and discomfort that may be associated with lens wear.

Side Effects and Precautions

The common Refresh side effects may include mild eye burning or irritation; itching or redness of your eyes; watery eyes; blurred vision; or unpleasant taste in your mouth.

Call your doctor right away if you have any of the serious side effects such as:
• Eye pain;
• Severe burning, stinging, or eye irritation after using the medicine;
• Vision changes

Warnings and Interactions

Do not use Refresh:
• If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to carboxymethylcellulose sodium or any of the other ingredients of Refresh;
• If solution changes colour or becomes cloudy. Stop use and ask your doctor if you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if the condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours;
• To treat or prevent an eye infection. Ask a doctor or pharmacist if it is safe for you to use Refresh if you have any type of infection in your eye.

Refresh is intended for external use only. Keep out of the reach of children. If irritation develops, discontinue lens wear and consult your doctor. To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip of container to any surface. Replace the cap after using. Do not use Refresh in your lens case. Safety and effectiveness have not been demonstrated with Refresh in patients under the age of 18. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding your baby, please consult your doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare professional for advice before using Refresh. If you experience transient blurred vision, do not drive or operate machinery until your vision has cleared. Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. These medicines may be affected by Refresh or may affect how well it works. If you use another eye drop product concomitantly with Refresh, the product should be administered at least 5 minutes apart from the instillation of Refresh to avoid washout effect.
