Usage

Ginseng (Ginseng) is an over-the-counter medicinal herb traditionally used to prevent colds and flu and to increase energy, longevity, and vitality. Ginseng is sometimes referred to as "adaptogen, " a substance that is supposed to help the body better cope with mental or physical stress. Asian Ginseng is widely used as a medical herb for treating erectile dysfunction, diabetes mellitus, and unclear thinking. The active substance in Ginseng is Ginsenosides. Ginseng belongs to a class of medications called Adaptogens (an antioxidant). Antioxidants help rid the body of free radicals, which can damage DNA and contribute to heart disease, diabetes, and other conditions. It stimulates the body's resistance to physical, emotional, and environmental stressors and boosts the immune response to flu.

Side Effects and Precautions

The common side effects of Ginseng are headache, agitation, upset stomach, trouble sleeping, and dizziness.

Stop using Ginseng and contact your doctor right away if you have any of the severe side effects such as:
• Breast pain;
• Changes in blood pressure;
• Irregular heartbeat;
• Signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, itching, breathing difficulties, swelling of the face, tongue, or throat
