It is also present in the food we eat such as meat and seafood. It is a dietary supplement rather than a drug and is used for conditions that affect heart such as heart failure, chest pain, and high blood pressure. It is also used for the prevention of a migraine, improvement of vision in people with age-related vision loss, improvement of nerve damage and nerve pain in patients with diabetes, reduction of muscle pain and tiredness, improvement of immune function in patients with HIV/AIDS, treatment of Parkinson’s disease, and treatment of Huntington’s disease. Follow the instructions on the bottle or take advice from your doctor. The usual daily dose is 100 to 200 mg.
