What is Alvesco used for? 

This medication reduces and prevents symptoms such as shortness of breath and wheezing due to asthma. 

Alvesco belongs to the drug class called corticosteroids. This medication works by decreasing the swelling of the airways in the lungs to help you breathe more comfortably. 

This inhaler is available as a liquid inhalation. It is available as Alvesco 160 mcg and 80 mcg.

How to take Alvesco 

This medication is inhaled orally as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. No shaking of the inhaler is necessary before you use it. Make sure only to follow what your doctor has told you. Do not go higher, lower, or stop the dosage unless your doctor or pharmacist instructs you.
