Finacea (Azelaic acid) 15% is a first-line therapy indicated for topical application in the treatment of inflammatory papules and pustules of mild to moderate rosacea. It is a topical gel containing Azelaic acid, a naturally occurring acid works by reducing redness (inflammation) and the appearance of dark spots. Azelaic acid helps the skin to renew itself more quickly and therefore reduces pimple and blackhead formation. It also helps to kill the bacteria that cause acne and rosacea.
