Product Details

Tarka (Trandolapril/Verapamil SR) is a prescription medication that is used for the treatment of blood pressure. Tarka contains Trandolapril and Verapamil SR. Trandolapril belongs to the class of drugs known as ACE inhibitors and Verapamil belongs to the class of medications known as calcium channel blockers. Both these medications work by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily. Verapamil may also lower your heart rate.

The common side effects may include constipation, dizziness, dry cough, lightheadedness, nausea and tiredness. The serious side effects may include:
• Fainting;
• Shortness of breath;
• Signs of kidney problems;
• Swelling ankles or feet;
• Symptoms of high potassium blood level;
• Unusual tiredness

You should not take Tarka if you are allergic to Trandolapril or Verapamil or if you have any other allergies. Before you start taking this medication, talk to your doctor about your medical history and about all the medications you take including OTC and herbal medications. This medication may make you dizzy. You should not drive, use machinery or do any activity that requires you to be alert. Limit alcoholic beverages. Tarka should not be used during pregnancy. It may harm an unborn baby. Verapamil passes into breast milk. It is unknown if Trandolapril passes into breast milk. There may be an interaction between Tarka and other medications such as aliskiren, clonidine, lithium, fingolimod, dofetilide, etc.
