Product Details

Coveram (Amlodipine/Perindopril) is used for high blood pressure. Coveram is a combination of two active ingredients, Amlodipine and Perindopril. Amlodipine is a calcium antagonist which belongs to a class of medications called dihydropyridines. Perindopril is an ACE inhibitor. Both these medications work by relaxing the blood vessels so blood can flow more easily. You may help prevent strokes, heart attacks and kidney problems by lowering high blood pressure. The common side effects may include:

• Cough;
• Dizziness;
• Fluid retention;
• Swelling of hands, ankles or feet

Do not take Coveram if you are allergic to Amlodipine or Perindopril or if you have any other allergies. Inform your doctor if you have ever had heart disease or heart attack, high levels of potassium in your blood, kidney disease, and liver disease or if you are on a low-salt diet. Do not take Coveram if you are pregnant. Stop taking this medication if you become pregnant and inform your doctor right away. You should not breast-feed while you are using this medication.
