Seroquel (Quetiapine) is used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in adults and children. This medication is also used together with antidepressant medications to treat major depressive disorder in adults. Quetiapine is an antipsychotic medicine. Quetiapine works by blocking serotonin and dopamine receptors in the brain. Seroquel XR should only be used in adults and it should not be given to anyone under 18 years old.

Side effects include:

• Dizziness;
