The information provided on Ask PharmacyChecker is neither intended nor implied to be a substitute for professional medical advice, nor is it an endorsement of any product or service.
If you are considering purchasing medication from outside the U.S., be aware that, in most circumstances, it is technically not legal for individuals to import prescription drugs; however, U.S. government officials have stated that individuals who order non-controlled prescription drugs from Canada or other foreign sources (up to a three-month supply) for their own use are not being pursued or prosecuted.
Is PharmacyChecker trustworthy when looking for a safe online pharmacy?
PharmacyChecker is an independent company that verifies the safety credentials of online pharmacies.
Why Patients Trust PharmacyChecker
PharmacyChecker.com was established in 2003 to help consumers find qualified online pharmacies and is the only independent evaluator of U.S. and non-U.S. online pharmacies that sell medication to consumers in the U.S. The PharmacyChecker Verification Program is run by Dr. Shivam Patel, a pharmacist licensed in Massachusetts, with a proven track record of dedication to pharmacy quality and patient safety.
The PharmacyChecker Verification Program
The Verification Program Standards outline the requirements that online pharmacies must meet to publish a PharmacyChecker seal. Those standards ensure that prescription orders placed on PharmacyChecker-verified websites are secure and dispensed by licensed pharmacists from licensed pharmacies, which are checked through the Verification Program.
To comply with pharmacy laws governing their practices, in addition to our standards, pharmacies in our program package, dispense and ship lawfully-manufactured medications to patients worldwide. Very few pharmacies in our program ship temperature sensitive medications. Those that do are required to meet strict standards that protect a medication's integrity so that people receive safe mail order medications, including applying to the shipping container a temperature indicator with clear directions for the recipient to determine the product's integrity.
Pharmacy members must only market, process, sell and/or dispense medications that have been approved for sale in at least one of the following countries; Australia, Canada, European Union, India (subject to additional restrictions), Israel, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom, or the United States. Additionally, international online pharmacy members selling to consumers in the U.S. must require a prescription for prescription medications, as defined by U.S. law; may not dispense controlled substances, as defined by U.S. DEA; and must provide the consumer with a telephone number for consultation with a licensed pharmacist.
To ensure their continued compliance with PharmacyChecker.com standards, we re-check pharmacy licenses, website security, prescription requirements and compliance with other program standards on an on-going basis.
Research Proves PharmacyChecker-verified Websites Dispense High Quality Medication
Peer-reviewed and independent research shows that as long as consumers use PharmacyChecker-verified pharmacies for medications purchased online (foreign or domestic), they receive lawfully manufactured and high quality medication, usually at a much lower price for brand name drugs than available at local U.S. pharmacies.
